Abstract

Communication and interaction are integral parts of the education process. Swimming lessons are no exception.

Due to the specificity of the environment in which it takes place, it is necessary to pay increased attention to both components in the preparation of future physical education teachers and swimming instructors. In order to ensure the improvement of the quality of these didactic competences, their adequate diagnosis is necessary.

This is only possible through a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The so-called triangulation makes it possible to obtain data both on the activities of the swimming teacher/instructor and also feedback from the participants of the educational process themselves - pupils/clients.

By combining these data, it is then possible to build and develop these partial didactic competencies of future and existing educators.
