Impact of Anthropometric Variables on Distal Versus Conventional Radial Access for Percutaneous Coronary Procedures. Insights From the DISCO RADIAL Randomized Controlled Trial

Publication

Abstract

Recent results from DISCO RADIAL (Distal vs Conventional Radial Access) confirmed the use of the distal radial artery as a valid alternative to conventional radial access, with equally low rates of radial artery occlusion (RAO) and higher crossover rates, but simpler and shorter hemostasis process. The present analysis was conducted to explore whether anthropometric measures impact the effect of randomized access on secondary outcome measures.
