This article explores the experiences of plus-size gay men in the Czech Republic and their potential struggles with weight-based discrimination and mental health. We also discussed the role of societal attitudes and subcultural influences, such as media and popular culture, in shaping the body image and identity of plus-size individuals in the LGBT community.
The current conversation and practice in the field touched on research in Japan and the United States, highlighting the influence of cultural norms and societal attitudes on the experiences of LGBT individuals. While more research is needed to fully understand these complex issues, this article's contribution focuses on shedding light on important factors that may impact the well-being of plus-size gay men both in the Czech Republic and globally.
