Models of systemic steps for overcoming current barriers and implementing elements of the circular economy in the textile industry in the Czech Republic
Abstract
Research into the mapping of barriers in the circular economy in the textile industry in the Czech Republic pointed to both low awareness of key actors and weak cooperation in fulfilling the binding objectives of the Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. At the same time, it turns out that there are already models and practical models of implementing circularity into practice thanks to systems of joint agreements and commitments of actors in individual sectors (e.g. in the Netherlands), which lead to results both at the level of individuals and the whole system.
The contribution will present the current results of the replication of proven foreign practice in the field of joint commitments and joint progress of actors across the entire chain from producers to consumers emerging on the platform of the Czech Circular Hotspot with a focus on the textile sector.
