Abstract

The chapter discusses how F. W.

J. Schelling builds on Kant's reflections on the question of what should guide and orient philosophical reason when it attempts to go beyond the realm of sensory experience.

It turns out that reason, according to Schelling, cannot remain uninterested in this area, but is instead guided by a certain "moral desire".
