Local region: a theme connecting the development of pupils' digital competences and field activities

Abstract

The article introduces a new teaching concept connecting the development of digital competencies with fieldwork using the topic of the local region as an example. The article first deals with digital competencies and their benefits for education.

Next it describes the conception and specific examples from its individual stages. The conclusion provides information about the created materials, e.g., worksheets and a teacher's guide.
