Abstract
An article from the series dedicated to problems of Mathematical Olympiad - category P (programming) shows us one practical competition problem from a national round held more than 25 years ago, in the 1995/96 school year. The task is to find a suitable group of switches which turn on all the lamps in the city.
The article shows the principle of effective solution and proof of its correctness using means close to mathematical induction.
