Abstract
The Mapka application 2nd version is significantly revised compared to the previous version, especially the control of the application has been completely changed and data from the corpora has been added. It is an interactive map of the Czech Republic serving as a supplement to the corpora of spoken Czech ORAL, ORTOFON and DIALEKT.
The background map can display various types of regional divisions, dialectal, administrative and historical, and municipality networks that have certain connections to the corpora. The map includes overviews of typical dialectal features pertaining to the regions of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, various dialectal regions, areas and types.
Each dialectal region is provided with samples of authentic spoken discourses chosen from the three corpora, including transcription, audio recording and in some cases analysis. The application includes the option of searching for municipalities in the Czech Republic and including them in the system for the division of dialectal regions.
Users can add these points to the map and create their own map.
