Abstract

The portfolio of tasks solved by the geophysical workplace also includes a basic corrosion survey of building sites, consisting of measuring the size of stray currents, determining the size of resistivity and evaluating the degree of aggressiveness of the examined rock environment. The findings may significantly affect the extent of the necessary anti-corrosion measures and thus the costs of the final price of the planned construction.

The article presented here evaluates the current practice of corrosion surveys, draws attention to the basic recommended standards and guidelines and proposes an update of some methodologies.
