Abstract
The Focus is an application that runs on a computer or on a phone or tablet measuring the current ability to concentrate on solving the problem of finding all specified characters in given text. It is a task that requires no knowledge or skills, only the ability to concentrate.
The times needed to solve the individual task are saved to the database so the users can compare their results with the results of others and follow their own results and find out which circumstances improve or impair their ability to concentrate.
In addition, the teachers can observe the performance of their students.
An experiment where students repeatedly solved the above task confirmed that the ability of individual students to concentrate varies greatly.
