Abstract
The lecture presents a contributin anchored in metapragmatics (referring to the ways and forms of the use of language) and the specifics of metacommunicative use of certain rhetoric and lexical means of expression in Czech. The analysis is aimed at metapragmatic phenomena in specimens of of public communication in Czech politics.
