In the first period, from 1875 until World War I, a holiday resort comprised of exclusive summer villas of Pragueś bourgeois elite gradually formed on the hillside above the right bank of the river Berounka. In the second period, after 1918, especially in the 1920s, in connection with the land reform, there was a large-scale parcellation of field land on the left bank of the river, mainly to the northeast and to a lesser extent to the northwest of the historic centre of Dobřichovice.
