Between Marcus Marci and Löw von Erlsfeld : Theories and Education at the Prague Medical Faculty during the Period of Baroque (1620-1740)

Abstract

This book is the first systematic examination of teaching and natural philosophy at the Prague medical faculty (Charles University) during the Baroque period (approx. 1620-1740). It also examines how the Prague medical school fits into network of connections with remaining Habsburg medical faculties (i.e.

Vienna and Innsbruck).
