This paper will present the possibility of integrating a specific language subject matter with literary education. By means of word-forming analysis of words selected from authentic text, students should get familiar with the possibilities of creating resident names.
This will subsequently facilitate the understanding of the meaning and method of creation of occasionalisms used in the fictional text. The aim of the lesson is to acquaint the students with the regularities of creating new words in Czech.
Thus, the lesson develops students' communication and interpretation skills using the inductive procedure. The author of the article verified the lesson plan in the Czech language and literature class in the 8th grade of elementary school.
