Abstract

Textbook : Renoir, one of the founders of Impressionism

Auguste Renoir, along with Caud Monet, became one of the founders of Impressionism. They both followed the example of Manet's true painting, his daylight and his plein-air painting, which they followed even more rigorously. They limited the choice of colors, they mainly chose colorful and bright tones, they did not look at profit and public success. The name, derived by one critic from the name of Monet's painting Impression (Impression) - Sunrise, was adopted by most Impressionists, and they were eventually recognized, especially by followers and eventually by the general public. In addition to the aforementioned Pissarro, Degas, Sisley, Caillebotte, Gogh, Cézanne, Manet and others also belonged to the group.
