Abstract

Simeons' Travel Accounts could be seen as vivid description of Eastern Mediterranean and Anatolia with an emphasis on Armenian communities in these localities. Accenting important marketplaces, landmarks and historical sites, Travel Accounts became a reliable historical source similar to some respects to what the famous travelogue of Rabbi Benjamin of Tudela was some five hundred years before.
