Abstrakt
Ultrasound has an invaluable role in the primary diagnosis of gynecological cancer, in the assessment of tumor extent in the pelvis and abdominal cavity, in the evaluation of the treatment response, and in follow-up. The chapter is part of a textbook that is regularly published under the banner of ESGO (the European Society of Gynecological Oncology).
The new edition of this textbook is designed in accordance with the ESGO curriculum, which ensures systematic teaching and an ideal reference tool for preparation for the oncogynecology specialty. The chapters representing the basic knowledge needed for every oncologist have been prepared by a number of recognized experts in specific fields.
