The 19th year of the Old Prague Club Award for a new building in a historical environment: About measuring values and one tragic contradiction between them

Abstract

When Klub Za starou Prahu evaluates new buildings in an old environment, it has a principle that a valuable older building must not give way to a new work. This year it affected the new town hall in the city of Lázně Bělohrad.

In the past, however, the principle of the Club was violated by some buildings, which today we look at as rare monuments.
