Abstract
The Glass Institute was founded at the Chamber of Commerce, Trade and Industry in Hradec Králové - the founding meeting of the curatorship met exactly one hundred years ago on February 8, 1923 and thus became one of almost hundreds of different state, private, corporate or university research and testing institutes, which were created during the first Czechoslovak Republic.
