Abstract
Contribution to 6. Symposium on Health Care of Musicians organized by the Czech Society for Musical Physiology and Medicine of Musicians, headed by Pavel Drbal, MD, physician of the Czech Philharmonic.
In the theoretical part of the paper the author will summarize the main motivations for the topic, the state of research in the field of yoga for musicians, together with the findings from her internship abroad, which she completed last year with a yoga for musicians lecturer in Lisbon. Next, she will present her research on the impact of yoga on pianists, which she conducted in 2022-2023, and its partial results.
In the second, practical part, she will offer insights into yoga for musicians workshops organized for music students and their teachers. Attendees will be able to try out basic yoga techniques on their own body and breath.
