Respect for the values and activity of upper secondary school students under the conditions of limited social participation

Abstract

The research study, carried out with 172 students from heterogeneous classes at four upper secondary schools in Prague, aimed to determine their values towards participation in a democratic society. The basic parameters of this participation, tracked in the classes using a questionnaire, included: respect for others, personal autonomy and uniqueness, activity, relationship with authorities and relationship with people with disabilities.

Another parameter tracked was cohesion, i.e. the extent to which views were shared within the given class.
