Abstract
In the article, the author tries to define popular Czech film quotes from a linguistic point of view and seeks their place within Czech paremias and in the system of Czech idioms. At the same time, it presents the results of several researches focused on the knowledge, understanding and usage of movie quotes by Czech language speakers.
