Abstract

The text, written on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the Czech sculptor Zbyněk Sekal, focuses on the reconstruction of his studio, which was transferred from Vienna to the National Gallery in Prague as a unique project. It is compared with two other reconstructed studios of famous artists Constantin Brancusi in Paris and Francis Bacon in Dublin.

The text defines the specificities, differences and significance of such reconstructions.
