Abstract
This expert article offers a detailled formulation, specification and critical evaluation of the effect of the two directives transposition into the Czech legal environment (namely the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2019/1152 of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union and Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2019/1158 of June 20, 2019 on work-life balance for parents and carers). The contribution can be considered completely unique in its scope and comprehensiveness, as it covers the impact of both of the above-mentioned directives on the Czech labour law in all its entire width and complexity.
