A frequent place for the occurrence of injuries to children is the environment of a kindergarten. This fact led the author to conduct a research in which she mapped the level of knowledge of students of the study program Pedagogy of Preschool Age (future kindergarten teachers) about selected physiological physical peculiarities in physical activities of preschool children.
The presented research cannot be generalized due to the size of the research sample and the ongoing investigation. However, the interim results of the survey point to shortcomings in the knowledge of selected physiological physical peculiarities during physical activities in preschool children, especially in the area of selected physiological specifics of the sensory system.
The way out of the current situation can only be the systematic education of pedagogical staff in nursery schools, which will be based not only on the acquisition of knowledge, but above all on practical training of everyday pedagogical skills.
