Playful Music Education 5. Workbook for the 5th year of primary school

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2023

Abstract

The Playful Music Education 5 workbook consists of 10 thematically focused chapters, which are linked to the topics covered in Homeland Science and Science. It complements the textbook and enables pupils to practise the music education curriculum in a thorough and fun way through a variety of exercises.

The workbook is closely linked to the methodological manual, which includes a clearly defined lesson structure and can thus help even less experienced teachers; it also contains many activity themes from which the teacher can choose and can therefore work creatively with the publications; the methodological manual ensures cross-curricular relations; emphasis is also placed on the link with art education, which is made possible by the cooperation with an experienced expert on this subject. The chapters are designed to motivate pupils to learn, whether in the form of motivating introductory exercises and pictures or other playful exercises, through which various musical skills and knowledge are gradually acquired.

The workbook includes an appendix with cards showing selected musical signs and other elements related to the music curriculum, as well as musical instruments and their names; the cards can be used for work (e.g. rhythmic dictation, listening and listening activities) or for various didactic games (e.g. memory game, bingo, Kim's game). The publication is rounded off by pages with blank music charts with a sufficiently large spacing for practical practice of musical and educational phenomena. The textbook and workbook are accompanied by three CDs with recordings of sounds, listening tracks, chants and songs; songs are available with or without singing.
