"Your presence in Prague was for all of us a great and healing event". Niemöller and the Czech Protestants

Abstract

Martin Niemöller's visit to Prague in 1954 was an attempt of the Czechoslovak régime to instrumentalize him. It became nevertheless an important moment for the several groups of Czech protestants and an impuls for emancipation to the later dissidents in the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren.
