Abstrakt

Josef Lukl Hromádka understood the existence of the GDR as proof of his thesis about the crash of Western liberalism. He defended the conformist line of some church representatives in the GDR against critics from West-Germany.

His theologically motivated sympathy for the GDR is clearly expressed in the correspondence with Emil Fuchs.
