The Magic of Drawing. Italian drawing of the high renaissance and mannerism from bohemian and moravian public collections

Abstract

The monograph focuses on drawings by Italian masters of the 15th and 16th centuries, which are held in public collections in the Czech Republic. It evaluates them on the basis of technique, style and function.

It also deals with their provenance. Attention is also focused on original or workshop replicas, imitations and copies.
