Abstract
In January 2022, the Pacific volcano Hunga Tonga - Hunga Ha'apai erupted. The consequences of this eruption were very diverse and in many ways extraordinary.
In this article we will state how the eruption affected the chemical composition of the upper layers of the atmosphere and what effect it has on temperatures and air flow. We will describe the spectrum of waves arising in the atmosphere during the eruption in connection with a rapid change in pressure.
And last but not least, we will also show the impact on the formation of waves in the ocean.
