Recent works on philosophical anthropology state that the changes re- lated to the popularization of digital technologies have profound impacts on the anthropological self-understanding of the "homo digitalis." One way of concep- tualizing such transformations is by considering the emergence of a distinctive digital culture. The educational relevance of taking these differences into consi- deration is called to attention given the current increasing need for online educa- tional solutions.

Research and experience in the field of intercultural education have provided both a warning about the difficulty of education in these settings and possible solutions based on teacher education. A subset of this literature draws upon the philosophical tradition of hermeneutics as a source of inspira- tion.

It seems that the exploration of how these different images of the digital human being relate to educational practices can elucidate important concepts, practices, and relations, as well as future research on the intersection between the fields of philosophical anthropology, philosophy of technology and education.
