Abstrakt
The paper dealt with the work of Lucian of Samosata and his portrayal of the characters of philosophers, the use of statements by well-known personalities and the overall literary portrayal of Life of Demonax. At the same time, he addressed the similarity with the form of the Synoptic Gospels and the Gospel of Thomas.
The author held the thesis that gospels are a sui generis genre; they have no exact analogy in the literary world of antiquity.
