Abstract
The review introduces and illustrates Markéta Pilátová's book entitled Bába Bedla and the Girl on the Ridge, which follows on from her previous book Bába Bedla. It was included in the prestigious international catalogue The White Ravens and in the Czech catalogue The Best Books for Children.
As the review shows, the author deepens the magical story line in the sequel - in addition to the already familiar Baba Bedla and the magical undergrowth, she introduces the reader to the lichen kingdom, where one can hear the narration through time.
