The paper presents the current status of the preparation of the research carried out within the Cooperatio programme in the subfield of Special Education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague (2022-2026). The main aim of this research activity is to identify the possibilities of intervention and education for children with severe and combined disabilities in early and preschool age in an interdisciplinary context, using the erudition of physicians, especially for children with epilepsy and children with central visual impairment (CVI).
The methodology used is qualitative research using the technique of focused observation and semi-structured interviews to create and analyze case studies of preschool children with severe and combined disabilities.
