Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2023

Abstract

The report provides basic information on Czech language teaching in Poland, where traditionally there is considerable interest in it due to the historical and cultural connections between the two countries. At present, Czech is offered by several leading Polish universities; the Czech Republic has a significant presence at five lecturers' offices (Katowice, Kraków, Łódź, Poznań, Warsaw), where it sends Czech language lecturers as part of the government's Programme for the Promotion of Czech Cultural Heritage Abroad.

The report informs about the author's visit to the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and her lecture on current trends in contemporary Czech word formation for Polish students at the Department of Czech and Lusatian Philology there.
