Abstrakt
The International Autumn School of Fennistics - Prague 2023 (Ulkomaisen fennistiikan syyskoulu - Praha 2023) is part of a long-term project in which Finnish studies at the University of Warsaw, the University of Greifswald, the University of Cologne and the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University cooperate under the auspices of Finnish National Board for Education (Opetushallitus). The main topic of the conference was Boundaries and Scales in Language, Literature and Socio-Culture (Rajat ja jatkumot kielessä, kirjallisuudessa ja kulttuurissa).
The international conference included plenary lectures and workshops on this topic, which broke out of the traditional view of linguistic and literary categories. Students from the participating universities, for whom the conference was often the first opportunity to present their research topic in Finnish to an international audience, also presented papers based on their bachelor, master and doctoral projects.
