Abstract
The paper presents the extracurricular activities in translation, which have been held within the framework of the Department of South Slavic and Balkan Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague for the past ten years. In view of the activity approach, also applicable in teaching translation, student competitions, participation in projects, publications in books and periodicals, workshops and presentations of the realized product are perceived as good practices.
