Abstract
The study deals with the dispute about the nature of Czech philosophy on the ground of the philosophical society Jednota filosofická, whose members were all those who participated in the controversy. The chairman of Jednota filosofická, Emanuel Rádl, presented a series of articles highly critical of the so-called "younger philosophical generation" gathered around the journal Ruch filosofický.
The text traces their rejoinders to Radl's criticism as well as their reflection on Radl himself.
