Abstract
On the occasion of her 80th birthday, the article summarizes the life and professional scientific work of Eva Berglová. This Germanist, who worked at the Faculty of Arts in Prague was mainly devoted to didactics, grammar of contemporary German and translations, especially from Czech to German.
At the same time, it evaluates its significance and contribution to German Studies in the scientific and pedagogical fields.
