Abstract
This book presents the proceedings of the conference Remedies and Remedies in Criminal Proceedings, which took place on 23 March 2023 as part of the traditional March conference of the Department of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law of Charles University. The aim of the conference and of this book is to summarize the experience, knowledge and presentation of the results of the scientific work of Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian representatives of doctrine and application practice on the issue of correctional systems and remedies.
The authors reflect on the general considerations of remedies, common and specific principles of remedies. The issue of subjective and objective admissibility of individual remedies, including specific situations, for example, in consensual methods of settling criminal cases, has not been omitted.
Contributions touching on the European context are also represented. As this is a topical and important topic, the authors consider a critical discussion of the topic of appeals in criminal procedure to be permanently desirable.
