Abstract
Fifty years after the fall of the dictatorship, Portugal has relatively progressive legislation in relation to sexual minorities. It was a difficult road and even today the queer movement still has something to fight for.
He is also helped by the legacy of the "rediscovered" journalist Virginia Quaresma, considered the forerunner of intersectional feminism.
