The article is focused on Czech translation of Sub-Saharan francophone authors (man and women). It followes different periods since the first translations of those literatures, created in Czechoslovakia till the recent times.
Paper is devided into three sections, following different periods and different genre: primarly we talk about the poets of the mouvement Negritude, afterwards the translations of engaged anticolonial novels and finaly the translations realised at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of 21st century. The paper states clearly that the translations of Sub-Saharan literatures written in French are very few.
We translated and translate the authors (men and women) who had some succes in French literary circles.
