Translation review of a novel by a renown Chinese writer Xiao Hong Hulanhe zhuan (Tales of Hulan River) for Karolinum Press, Charles University, Prague - translated by a sinologist Dušan Andrš from Chinese to Czech. It is a first complete translation of this novel into Czech language, the novel was first published in 1940.
The book contains a study on Xiao Hong and her position among the Chinese writers of the Republican Period.
