This collective volume, the result of work by an international research group on neologism through borrowing in various European languages (French, Italian, Polish, Czech), focuses on three main areas:
The examination of theoretical questions related to the methodology of inventorying and processing lexical innovations of foreign origin;
The examination of different borrowed lexical models and patterns, recurring in the languages under consideration;
The examination of areas where borrowing is particularly prevalent, as well as the analysis of trends that this phenomenon follows in the studied languages.
Many elements borrowed from English are now circulating in different languages, serving as witnesses to the contemporary relevance they represent.
