The poem "My response" portrays a real incident from the election period, when František Listopad, holder of Portuguese and Czech citizenship, was invited to vote in the Czech elections at the Lisbon embassy. An apparently banal issue arising from the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms leads here to considerations of a "free place", as well as children, who, if we limit the set of all children to the descendants of Listopad, perhaps no longer experience the sensation of impossibility of choice.

We can also see a parallel in a line from another poem, also untitled, "Any language hides a poem / Wherever I live, birds fly"
