Collections and narrations as a component of the headword compilation of somatic concepts. On the example of the term LEG/LEGS

Abstract

The chapter focuses on the methodological issues related to the creation of an entry in a cognitive- and culture-oriented dictionary of somatic terms, which is currently being worked on in the Czech environment. Focusing on the issue of what narrations and collections are significant for the term leg/legs, the author introduces an original testing method (the method of signal words), which allows gaining a vocabulary field related to the given concept.
