Asymptotic expansions for moments of functions of random sequences

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2009

Abstract

A smooth real function of a random sequence converging to an unknown possibly vector parameter is considered. The asymptotic series for moments, particularly for the expectation, variance, and mean squred error are derived.

Selected applications to reliability theory and survival data analysis are given. The methods are accompanied by procedures in Mathematica.
