An equation of motion multiphonon approach to nuclear spectra and responses

Abstract

Energies and Electromagnetic transitions in 16O are aveluated by an equation of motion method which generates iteratively a microscopic basis and solves exactly the nuclear eigenvalue problem in such a basis. The computed quantities are greatly affected by the multiphonon configurations and by the center of mass motion, here completely removed.
