RDF Visualizer

Abstract

The key issue in RDF visualization is handling extremely large data, since the actual RDF should be used to process information from the Internet. This places specifis requirements on any RDF visualization software - virtually all of them use some kind of navigaion, since it is not reasonable and usualy even possible to display the whole data.

Our RDF visualizer uses a node merging technique to conserve space and provide directions for further navigation. It is a technique tailored specifically for RDF.

Since it requires nodes to be displayed as rectangles with variable height, we created a special variant of radial layered layout - triangle layout. It diplays nodes in an orderly fashion while still having reasonable area requirements.
