Temperature Determination in DC Glow Discharge in Mixtures Containing Oxygen

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2009

Abstract

The DC glow discharge in pure oxygen and its mixtures with 5% of argon and nitrogen, respectively, has been studied for discharge currents up to 40 mA. We have focused on possibility of the determination of rotational temperature of oxygen molecule from well-resolved atmospheric A-band when adding small amount of argon and nitrogen to the oxygen discharge.

Double-probe method has also been employed for determination of electric field strength
